Please stop saying "Are you new?" to bully people. So what if I am? Nothing wrong with that.

Especially if it should happen to hit an actual newbie. We should show that we're happy to see new faces and opinions, not harass people for taking a chance on F!S.

I haven't seen this recently, but that's annoying. Being new isn't an insult and if we want new members we should be friendly, not judgmental.

Seconding looking down on people for being new.

My current fandom is knee deep in wank over who counts as a "true fan" and who isn't (spoilers: it's the new fans), how the new fans will kill the fandom, etc., and it's the most petty bullshit I've seen in a long time.
