I love the games, but the fandom's Social Justice levels have reached critical mass.

I never figured out how not being 100% anti-Circle made me homophobic, but sure, whatever floats your boat.

seriously though, i put off playing those games for YEARS pretty much entirely because the fandom terrified me.

Play the games anyway but politely avoid the fandom online. The games are fun, the fandom not.

Sounds like some people compare being mages with being gay.

Never mind that Inquisition in particular addressed gay issues a bit with Dorian's storyline.

But I agree the fandom is rather batty and makes me happy I never joined Tumblr.
