F!S Anon Meme (the ??th!)
Secrets, rants, opinions, anything you want to say about your fandom or a fandom or fandom in general, do it here! Anonymously, of course. Get it all off your chest.
Some ground rules:
1. Going anon is encouraged but not absolutely required.
2. No autoplaying/autolooping embeds, or embeds that cover/stretch the screen.
3. No dropping personal info or IRL contact info, etc.
That's about it, though!
I'll be linking some general/general-fandom threads I see so people don't repost new threads with the same stuff. If you want me to link your thread up here, drop a link in the first comment!
General:
Halloween costumes
Fandom-general:
Porn comics
F/F recs
Guilty pleasures
Fandom-specific:
Girl Meets World

That...makes absolutely no sense as an argument. That sounds awfully similar to the people who, when they hear someone criticizing or hating a celebrity for something or other, go, "LOL, you're just jealous."
Yeah, I definitely don't agree with the "It's canon so it must be shipped!" attitude, either. I love some pairings that are canon, and more power to all others who love and ship canon pairings, too.
But there's tons of pairings I love that aren't canon, and I'm not bothered by that fact. I like being able to explore things outside what we see on the show, and sometimes there's pairings I prefer to the canon ones that I want to have fun with, too.
Incidentally, while I'm only superficially familiar with the "Big Bang Theory" fandom, I see this a lot with the Lenny/Shamy versus Shenny fans. Many fans in the former groups like to gloat about their pairings becoming canon and mock Shenny fans for still hanging on to their ship.
And I don't get that attitude. They "won", in essence, their pairings are (or were, in the case of Sheldon and Amy), canon, so what the hell do they care if some fans decide to ship something else?
