I think it's trolls trolling away mostly, not The Public's deep seated opinion, but fuuuck is it depressing all the same.

The people who started it appear to be dedicated white supremacist types going on their ugly twitter histories and associations, with an education in 4chan type attention seeking. I really doubt most white dude nerds crying about the lack of a white dude hero are going to boycott it, some might not go, but it's fucking Star Wars, man, most will.
