Haha, I'm the opposite of you in that I find his face quite "standable", but I avoid famous LPers after seeing some videos where they obviously don't care and are only playing because they got money to promote the game or something.

I guess they have to at least be good at pretending that they like the game they're playing or at that point you might as well go for a LPer that's not famous since they are definitely doing it for enjoyment.

I'm not really into Let's Play, but I've watched a couple of his videos because they came highly recommended, and I can see why people ARE into LP and Markiplier specifically. He's funny as hell and can make the most boring game a thrill to ... watch someone else play.

In comparison, I don't get the same impression from watching Pewdiepie (which I did, a) to compare to Markiplier, and b) because they are the only LP channels I ever heard of)

I just can't stand LPers who have to put the video of themselves playing on screen because I'm not there to see their facial expressions, I'm there to see gameplay because I'm usually too scared to play the games myself and I'm broke and don't like dying. I like seeing the game as if I'm watching a friend or something play. Also seems kinda narcissistic.

Well it works for some of his stuff cause he plays a lot of horror, and watching his reactions is half the fun.

I don't watch too many of his vids, but when I do I love watching him freak out.

I don't watch a ton of Let's Plays, but I get the appeal of both.

There are certain games I wouldn't or can't play myself so I don't want commentary or to stare at someone's face then.

However, if I've already played a game or watched another let's play of the title, I might be interested in seeing other people's thoughts and reactions. (The Last of Us especially, I've watched probably five Let's Plays of. Not the entire thing, but select parts.)

If I'm going to listen to commentary I would actually rather see the person speaking.

I think he's cute and his voice, oh my. But at the same time I don't like stan for him or anything, I just enjoy watching his videos sometimes.

I don't mind his face, but he gives me the hype backlash something fierce.

I don't follow him closely but I genuinely like him; he's entertaining to watch and sometimes brings up good points/interesting remarks in his vids. Also, he doesn't appear to be afraid of showing emotion; there are a few let's plays (by other users) I couldn't get through because it was either all a joke to them (And jokes are good, just not ALL the time) or they showed almost no enthusiasm.

I think he's a good looking guy with a nice velvet voice that is just amazing. I enjoy his LPs too, plus his other videos (wax challenge being one).

That pink hair is a deal breaker for me and he seems far more amused by himself than anyone else (he's kinda annoying, though not obnoxious) but I still think he's quite bangable. I've seen him without a shirt. I like bigger muscles but he has what I need.
