The long lost family member that appears in your life out of nowhere trope!

It ended pretty poorly.

You know when you're deep into some form of media but you can't find the last book / the TV cuts off / THE FILE GETS DELETED WHEN YOU'RE WATCHING IT??

Guess what just happened to me not two hours ago.

What were you reading/watching, if I might ask?

I was reading a story in a magazine and really into it and some asshat had torn out the last page. I never did find out how the story ended.

I think I am the hidden abuse in the family. I told Mum a few years ago, I believe she was surprised to hear it.

A bunch of my friends from high school started a coffeehouse. They were their own coffeehouse AU!

I have a self-lubricating anus? It's pretty gross, actually. Actually, I think it's just snot....

I once discovered I have a Magical Healing Cock.

No joke. I cured a girl's vaginismus with it. The details are the kind you don't want, but it worked and she's enjoying a (physically) healthy sex life today.

I don't know if it counts as a fanfic trope, since a lot of shows and movies use it, too, but I've had the thing happen where I'd be going through some sort of rough moment, and I'd somehow just happen to keep stumbling upon TV shows/songs/movies that seemed to be dealing with the exact same tough situation I was going through.

I'm pretty sure that if someone wrote about most anime conventions I went to, it would qualify as crack fic. Or at least a Big Lipped Alligator Moment.

A relation-via-marriage of mine had a secret life with another wife and family. It was real Jerry Springer shit, man.

It depends on what "fanfic tropes" are even.

The whole "friends to lovers thing"...did that," times over.

An unusually high number of the guys are dates were the not-quite-straight kind, so - the "everyone is bi" trope?

I also found an amusing trope on Tvtropes called "hair contrast duo" which yeah,is basically my current relationship. Down to the having to be convinced.

I also have the"long lost relative" trope going, though I associate that more with soap series.

I might have more lives than some Marvel characters, I think, which is saying something.

Also half of my life is angst tbh

Basically every single relationship I have ever had is either:

a) complicated

b) taboo

c) some kind of complex OT3

So yeah, my sex life is basically someone's fanfic.

I have a relative who is an IRL stereotypical Mary Sue. Super pretty, super talented, everyone loves her, etc.

She even has a Japanese name, despite not being ethnically or nationally Japanese. Her parents gave her the name because they thought it sounded cool.

Well, I work in a coffeeshop. I'm super queer and kinda cute! (Unfortunately the setting has not yet resulted in either sweet romantic love or hot fuckin')

Three young Asian-American girls were looking for a fourth person to share an apartment with, and I was the only one who responded to the ad. The first one I met was a friendly, energetic ditz with dyed blond hair who instantly took a liking to me. The second was a shy, quiet girl with dyed blue hair. She was icy to me, and according to the blond girl, she thought I was a pervert for some reason. I have never felt more male in my entire life, and I don't know if that was good or bad.

It all fell apart because the third girl couldn't pay rent. On the plus side, I never got punched over the horizon.

Me and my gf were friends before we started dating, and were both pining for each other and thought the other one didn't feel the same.

(In the right thread this time, jesus)

Well, not exactly. But I do have a guy friend who I am convinced has been in love with his male best friend for years.

I should add, I'm not someone who sees homoeroticism everywhere. I ship a couple slash pairings, but I keep a pretty firm grasp on reality, thank you very much. So anyway, it didn't even occur on me for the longest time, and then finally one days I just thought, "Holy shit, his life is like fanfic! I am playing the role of the Third Person POV in a shippy slash fic!" Except sadly for my friend, I kind of doubt his guy friend feels the same way about him. So that part's less like fanfic.

The only difference between me and the stereotypical basement dweller geek is that I'm female, I don't live in a basement, and Mum and I split household costs more or less evenly.

"Reformed" Lesbian/Lesbian having the hots for THE ONE guy/Heterosex makes you more feminine.
I always thought I was a lesbian (lived in lesbian relationships, too) until I found "Mr Right" (so I'm bi now). Thing is, that also had me reconsider my persona up to that point and I started to embrace that in fact I hadn't always been Butch but also liked pretty girly things.
I was kinda hot as a butch, but now as a lady (with varying style) I feel just as sexy but more comfortable.

Getting together with my childhood crush. He's kind of mean to me sometimes and not very supportive. He rarely initiates. But lately he's been more affectionate and a lot more caring. Still think he is going to end it poorly, but hey I'm happy to be with him when we are together.
