Cardio/Strength Training Indoors

As some of you may know, I lost about 70 pounds over the past year and a half. I have been stuck at 190 for like 6 months. I started to do C25K (got to week 4) but it has gotten too cold for me to force myself to go out in the morning.

So, I am looking for any recommendations on indoor workout plans, cardio and strength. Preferably ones that do not require a lot of equipment (I can spend around $100).

Maybe running your stairs, if you have any? I do the stairmaster alternated with the treadmill in the gym. As long as you get your heartreat up to the right amount, it doesn't really matter what specifically you do to get there.

I wish I had stairs! I got my front steps but that would require going outside.

Um, sorry, this isn't a recommendation for a training program. I just wanted to say, "CONGRATS! That's amazing! Great job!" :) I'm trying to lose weight, too, so I know it's tough. Hearing about others succeeding really helps. How long did it take you to lose that weight?

Probably around 15 months. But the last 2-3 months have been holding at 190. Which isn't bad but I'd like to be one more pants size down before my trip.

And the hardest part is getting into a habit of working out or watching once you eat. Once you get into those habits, it gets easier. A great first step is cutting out everything but water when drinking (I drink water except for the soda like...one every 3 weeks).

This is one of my favorite workouts. It requires zero equipment, kicks your ass, and burns fat like there's tomorrow. I use it whenever I've gone for a while without seriously exercising, and it always gets me back on track (and it's really coming in handy postpartum). As with any routine, you'll eventually plateau with it, but it should jumpstart things for you again.

Beyond that, congrats on what you've already done! That kind of loss takes a ton of work and commitment, so major kudos to you!

Thank you! It has some great pics, now I just need to get a mat because some of those look no fun on wood floors.

You are quite welcome! And yeah, as a fellow owner of wood floors, a mat is definitely key.

Also, looking through the slides for the first time in forever, it looks like they accidentally doubled up on exercise four's pictures, which sucks.

Oh, I meant in that they carried them over to exercise five! The description's still intact, but the correct pictures for it are no longer there.

Workout videos for cardio! They have some decent strength training ones too. If you have weights or those rubber bands, that works well too.

I'm definitely going to get some weights! I've never used a resistance band, so I'll look up some vids on it first. See if it is something I want to do.
