No-one is saying it cures cancer but it has been proven to drastically reduce the occurrence of cancer.

To be honest, I don't think anyone knows what does or doesn't cause breast cancer anymore. There's a ridiculous list that's almost impossible to completely follow.

You can be sure you're at some risk if you have breasts. And even then, some guys (without breasts) can get it.

I thought it was that breastfeeding reduces the chance of getting cancer, not breast milk (and yeah, there's a difference, because if it's breast milk, that implies you can just drink it, not that you have to lactate).

That's what I heard. Also that you have to breastfeed/pump for an extended period of time and this all has to happen before you're 25 for it to have any effect.

It's both, actually. And if you substituted cow milk with human breast milk that would certainly diminish your risk. That's just not very practicable, is it?
