I think you give more credit to the human race than you should. Humans can be very stupid. And when they are panicked or overly stressed, even more so. Most people in a zombie apocalypse are not going to die because of some smart way. They are going to die because they tripped while running, or ran out of food, or trapped themselves in a building.

Well, maybe. But like on WD, they've survived *all this stuff*, done all these things, are like - practically level 1 million zombie killers and they still have them do *really stupid things* for plot. Just...arrgh!

After several years of surviving, you'd think they could *eliminate* the stupid stuff. Tripping while running is an accident you can't really foresee, but having a loud argument when you *know* the zombies can hear you, and then acting all surprised when ...they hear you? Meh.

People fuck up doing normal stuff all the time. Sometimes you get less sleep and woops car crash! You can only be prepared so much. Stupid mistakes happen.

Thank you. The amount of times I have been in a rush to get somewhere/work and I ended up leaving my wallet, ir my work badge, or my wirk shoes, or forgot to take my pills, etc etc when on a normal basis, I'm usually good about doing those things?

So, even if it's a bit of a stretch, having a HUGE damily gathering and said gathering ending up in a rush, I can see things getting behind, yes, even a kid. And yes, people do end up realizing they left said thing only AFTER getting on the buss or plane and have a "FUCK!!" moment.

It happens, to both dumb and smart people a like.

It a completely normal thing that happens! Sadly, it can sometimes have devastating effects (from a death to a child to burning down your whole house).
