I'm just going to buy everyone gift cards. I'm so done with holiday shopping, it's a nightmare. Cards are easier and I don't have to spend 2 hours wrapping them.

A few years ago, a friend started getting me gift cards. I realized how much I loved that and so now he and I just buy each other gift cards for birthdays/holidays. It's great.

So I decided to the same with another friend. Got her a Target gift card because she lives near a target and I figured she could use it on food too. OMG she made such a big deal out of it! Now I'm slowly trying to wean myself off buying gifts for her general "Oh let's just send time together" because rather than tell me what she wants, she gives me a list of things not to buy.

I'd so much rather spend time with my friends (and some of my family) than waste money on stuff they don't want. Gift cards are great for that. My friends and I threw all our movie gift cards together so we could have a night out at the theater last year. It was way better than a sweater or another coffee mug.
