54. If you're referring to the fic I think you're referring to...then I have to say I agree. It was a wonderful story, and beautifully written, but I couldn't help but think the deaths at the end were pointless - there was no rhyme or reason to them. It was a beautiful fic, but it's also one I won't ever be able to bring myself to re-read.

I know what you mean. All of my cosplay is pulled from Thrift stores and my own closets... and then I look at my pictures compared to the beautiful, amazing costumes and I wonder why I bother.

But you need to keep a few things in mind.

1) Ugly or not, you're making your costume and that shows that you've done more than anyone else who's said, "I just don't want to try cosplaying."

2) A lot of the beautiful cosplayers are beautiful because of the high rez camera. Even ugly costumes and ugly cosplayers can look amazing with the right lightening, scenery, and other accents.
