Howdy ho. Y!Gallery mod here.

Things are usually much simpler than people will allow them to be. The gallery was created because at the time, there was no place specifically for yaoi themed art. It wasn't a matter of dislike of other types of art, but more a desire to make it easier to find a specific theme. It's like... there are sites for enthusiasts of different kinds of breeds of dog for example. Just because someone has a website to share pictures of Pomeranians does not instantly mean they loathe all other breeds of dog. They just wanted to focus on a particular theme for their website.

I can't speak for individual users and their beliefs, of course, but the overall idea of the gallery was to be a themed website. Not to be against anything that's not yaoi. I, for example, quite enjoy boobies. They're quite delightful. I draw them often. I just post them to different websites. :) And I think a gallery focusing on yuri would be a wonderful thing, and I know many users on Y! who would say the same as they have varied tastes as well. I personally however do not have the money to create it.

6. Donald, Mickey and Goofie in one movie together all but guarantees that I want to see it, even if it looks horrible. I jsut love those three stoogies that much.
