Yeah but he knew her throughout her childhood. Hence the grooming.

Like if you spend a lot of time with a child while they're growing up and prepare them to be with you some day, but you wait until they're of legal age, you're still doing something wrong.

Look, he was around her as she was growing up and he prepared her for being with him later. It's grooming, plain and simple.

Now that's a kink for some people, so whatever. But you can't pretend it's okay in real life.

Yeah that isn't at all what happened in the show. He didn't groom her to date him later on. I'm not saying the adult relationship didn't have its creepy factor, which they addressed in the show, but grooming wasn't part of it.

It was addressed incorrectly, without going into the full inappropriateness. But what's shown is clear, despite what they tell us about the relationship. He groomed her, plain and simple.

Where the fuck in the show does indicates that he was 'preparing/grooming' her to be with him later?

Was it creepy? Yes. Was it anything close to 'grooming' no, so fuck off!
