Unimpressed. The more I see of this movie, the more I think it's going to be disappointing. I've never liked grim/dark, but the idea that you would go with grim/dark for SUPERMAN really bugs me. Wonder Woman looks stupid (still reserving judgment) and like she doesn't belong in this movie.

This trailer also seemed to give everything away. It really turned me off seeing the movie.

I actually don't mind the grim tone. I just couldn't stand the out of place humor.

I actually don't mind the grim darkness! I'd rather grim darkness than mediocre darkness with forced, misplaced humor.

Man of Steel already started the grim/dark trend with Superman, and I actually really like it.

My feelings are the same. I loathed Man of Steel. It was not a good Superman movie. I can't buy Gadot as Wonder Woman at all. Nothing about this movie interests me at all.

I'm down to watch it, though I'm getting David Goyer fatigue by this point.

I'm more keen to see Suicide Squad.

See, Suicide Squad did look good and I'm curious about that. I can even handle dark/grim Batman because that suits the character (though I'd rather it wasn't SO dark/grim). But to have the entire universe be dark/grim is mind-numbing and turns me off.

Yeah, that's David Goyer for you. I'm really really tired of his grimdark schtick, and WB plays it up partly because of how successful the Nolan Batman films were.

They don't really seem to understand why Nolan's movies worked, though. They worked because they were good movies. The dark feel and the "realistic" tone were a part of that because they were done well. But the movies weren't good because they were dark or "realistic." Those things don't automatically make something good.

Nope. WB really doesn't get it, and that's why I thought Man of Steel was so weak compared to the Nolan Batman films.
