I'm not sure I buy all these supposed conversations about the sex fandom people are having. I mean, fandom can get over-share-y at times, but I've yet to run into anyone discussing how they give it to their significant other.

We've had some sex topic threads in GC, but for the most part I never see this kind of discussion in fandom.

My corner of HP fandom had a very active sex talk community a few years back. It was invite only, though, and all the people in it were friended with each other.

I think I know of one instance, over 10 years ago, in a group around a writer who wrote BDSM. She spoke a bit about her sex life because the fandom had a lot of terrible BDSM in it and she had a thing about writing it properly.

She may have had her journal locked too, so only Friends could see those posts.

It may very well depend not only on fandoms but mostly on fans. I've run into middle-aged UK ladies who were really too happy to share the details of their sex life with me even though we weren't that close...
