Feeling that it's your personal duty to strive for social justice is a good thing. The trouble is the people who think a good cause justifies any amount of bad behavior, and that anyone who calls you on it is ~derailing.

If patriotism is the last refuge of a scoundrel, I think it's fair to say that wrapping yourself in the mantle of social justice is the last resort for a bully.
