I agree it's a great thing that the show is portraying mind control as something disgusting, etc, etc, but nobody NEEDS to watch it if that kind of characters-suffering-lack-of-autonomy bothers them that much-- some people have such a visceral reaction BECAUSE they've been victimized/stripped of their autonomy in non-sci-fi ways. You can't talk about being supportive of victimized women if you're going to turn around and try to shame them into watching something that would be triggering.

(I mean, I don't know that OP is a woman, but I'm saying in general, a lot of people who find themselves unable to sit through JJ, it's because they know how it feels to be controlled by someone, and those aren't the people who NEED to be watching the show)
