(Anonymous) 2015-12-06 06:15 am (UTC)(link)And while that's true about her male counterparts, it's a bit of false equivalency. Deadshot has almost always been depicted in armor and such. Harley's male counterpart is Joker, and if you havent noticed, he's running around in a trench coat and shirtless which is just as impractical as what SS!Harley is wearing.
Like again, I get the complaints (fucking HEEELS), but i feel like people sometimes want to get on their high horse while ignoring the fact that honestly, it's not that huge a departure from actual Harley or out of the question she would wear.

(Anonymous) 2015-12-06 06:45 am (UTC)(link)Like as you pointed out, Catwoman and Black Widow both wear skintight suits implicitly made from some kind of protective material. Why couldn't Harley have something similar, like a skintight leather catsuit with the black and red patterning? Or some kind of protective headgear with a design like the jester cap? They've figured out ways to make iconic superhero costumes work on film before, surely they could do the same with her.
(granted I think the film looks godawful so that may be coloring my perceptions)
