She sets people on fire. With her brain. This badly drawn beatdown was them interrupting her setting somebody on fire.

It usually isn't portrayed as amusing though. Not NEARLY as often as violence against men being portrayed as amusing/entertainment. Not saying this in a "wah wah teh menz" way, just that unless you mean all funny violence against women is bad, that isn't really a valid objection b/c funny violence is used against men way more.

Now, if you'd said you were tired of gross sexualized violence against unsympathetic women getting a pass because "she's a bad guy" then yeah I'd agree with you because that is actually a thing and happens to women way more than men. But it's a fact that female characters get smacked with specifically funny violence only a tiny fraction of how much male characters do.

And I'm not defending this ewww scene. It's TM's fault as much as it would be a male villain's fault. i.e., it's not. Cage and Jones are still being shitty superheroes for their unnecessary overkill and dickish jokes, the fact that TM is an asshole and not some poor innocent victim would apply equally to a male villain getting smacked around.

She also raped Deadpool. So you're crying over a RAPIST.

The lighting their friend on fire part is a bit relevant. Also his girlfriend was there, and she'd probably have killed her to just cause Mary's nasty like that.

I mean, somebody tries to light one of my friends on fire, I can see wanting to beat them into unconsciousness, you know?
