(Anonymous) 2015-12-12 12:04 am (UTC)(link)As for the second part of your secret, everyone has a tolerance for how much of an asshole a main character can be before it trips over into unlikable territory. Jessica's relationship with Trish kept her from being too much of an asshole for me. That and her desire to help people.

I loved Jessica's relationship with Trish; it was very heartwarming and allowed us to see a different side of Jessica.
Jessica is far from a perfect person, but I thought the show did a good job of showing that despite her attitude and rough exterior, she did care about people. (She still made some bad decisions and was an asshole at times, but that made her feel more human to me.)
