This is sort of oblique, in that it's not a love-to-hate thing or a hate-to-love thing but an out right hate hate hate. All this talk about Kilgrave got me thinking about Handsome Jack. And my experience with Borderlands fandom has been one big "EUUUGH" when it comes to Jack.

The guy's a mass murdering narcissistic psychopath ffs. I don't get why some people have the hots for him. It's not like he's even funny or charming. He's just a fratboy douchebag.

Jaaaaaaaack! I went into BL2 only knowing Jack from post-TftBL fanfic and I was completely unprepared for how much I wanted to shoot him in his smug, prick face. Every time I thought I had reached a pinnacle of loathing, he'd do something else (the echos about Pierce, Bloodwing, Brick's puppy, Roland, the echos you find about Angel) and suddenly my rage would reach new and exciting heights. Kudos to Gearbox for managing to maintain that level of douchebaggery for the entire game.
