AND HOW THEY MADE IT OBVIOUS THAT EVEN WITH HIS VILLAINY, HE STILL CARED ABOUT BARRY AND WENT BEHIND HIS BACK TO DO MURDEROUS VILLAIN THINGS ~SPECIFICALLY TO PROTECT BARRY~
AND IT WAS SO PERSONAL AND SEASON 2 IS BOUNCING OFF THAT SO WELLLLL AND THAT SCENE WITH CISCO IN THE MIDDLE OF S1 AND JESUS IT'S ALL JUST SO GOOD

And not just Barry! Like, the ultimate scene of him tearing me in two directions is when Cisco is like "YOU STRAIGHT UP MURDERED ME BEFORE BARRY CHANGED THINGS" and Wells so sincerely apologizes, but then is like "Oh, I'm not sorry for murdering you. I'm sure I had a good reason. No, I'm so sorry about you having those powers, I never wanted you to have to have those."
Just...ahhhhhh!
