Uh, was just going to make a rec thread to rec this fic. Not sure how to do this, but I'll try.

Did you watch the new Star Wars movie and get excited about all the shipping potential? Are you looking for a fic that is dark and kinky and emotional and angsty and hot? Then read Broken Wishbones Under Your Bed by Wolfhalls. The main pairing is Kylo/Hux. This fic is perfect.

I usually skip tags but I didn't this time and I'm giggling at watch as I take Kylo's powers and use them in a completely inappropriate way.

I was not going to read shippy fic with Kylo Ren, but I'll give this a try later because I'm weak and I find him sexy.

It is a very accurate tag.

I found him sexy too. And ended up shipping him with half the cast. This is my favorite of the FA fics so far, though. I just love the dynamic, and the author throws in so much characterization.

The funny thing is, they said they wrote this before seeing the movie. Only it is rather accurate and really works.

Then it is probably relevant to my interests.

Not sure why since I kind of adore him, but I don't ship him with anyone. And usually I do with characters I like, no matter how...er, unstable they are. Maybe next film something will catch my attention.

But this sounds fun! I liked the scenes Kylo had with Hux, and could imagine hate-sex. (Is there hate-sex in this?)

This is actually not hate sex. I went into it looking for hate sex. This is really dark, line-toeing role play sex. Well, there are touches of hate sex, but in a role play sense. It works, somehow. I didn't think I could imagine these two as anything but straight on hate-sex until I read this fic.

Honestly, I just really want Kylo to be dominated by everyone. I'm not sure why, but I came out of this movie thinking that he just would work really well being submissive with just about everyone (even if he'd hate the idea at first).

Ah, so it's that kind of fic.

I think Kylo would want to be dominant but would fail at it pretty hard. I can't see him being too open to admitting enjoying submission, but I could see him liking it begrudgingly.

(Didn't think I was going to have a discussion about Kylo Ren: dominant or submissive today, but that's fandom for you.)

That's actually the dynamic of the Kylo/Rey fic I'll be writing soon: him trying to dominate her, her switching the tables on him. That's exactly the feel I got from him: someone who wants to be dominant and has convinced himself he is, but who is really submissive.

Yes, isn't fandom great? I mean, the movie gave me lots of different sorts of feels, but some of them were definitely shippy.

Well, considering his 'struggle with the light side' and the way he desperately wants to believe he's a big, evil bad guy with no heart, I can see why a dynamic like that would appeal to you because it feels weirdly familiar. Kylo is a guy who is used to denial, lol.

Fandom is beautiful.

Kylo/Rey has a surprisingly large fanbase so I'm sure you'll get plenty of love for your fic!
