Weekend (Holiday) Plans

What are everyone's plans for this weekend (since many of you probably have a three day weekend)?

I am doing Christmas tomorrow. Going to make homemade cinnamon rolls for breakfast while we open presents. This will be the first year my nephew will actually participate!

On Saturday and Sunday, I'll be recovering from Christmas and preparing for the terrible winter storm we are supposed to be getting. Hopefully it isn't too bad because I'd like to work Monday.

I'm leaving for Germany on Sunday, where I'll be staying until after New Years.

Going over to my parent's house in a minute or two. We're going to have a very truncated Christmas - casual dinner tonight, breakfast and presents and hanging out in the afternoon tomorrow, and that's it. Because, basically, Family Is Complicated (actually not that complicated: my father is an ass).

Tomorrow nothing other than studying and watching Doctor Who. Saturday probably more studying. My sister comes in on Sunday, and we're celebrating Christmas then. I'm trying to get my studying done early so I can take a few days off while she's here.

We're getting the bad weather too, so fingers crossed she and her fiance make it safe. Also fingers crossed that this toothache doesn't get any worse so I can deal with it until I can actually get to the dentist.

I got out of Xmas dinner with family so tomorrow I'm doing whatever I want (making a blanket fort) and then Saturday I'm going to a birthday party and on Sunday I'm...getting emotionally ready for work on Monday. Man the weekends go by fast.

Heading out to feed pets of friends then going to a BBQ, wish us luck! There's another dog and mines not so keen on them. Hoping they'll get along.

Homemade spaghetti sauce and Muppet Christmas Carol tonight, lunch with my aunt+extended family tomorrow if I can wake up in time (I've been on overnights for a week), and then breakfast for dinner with my parents. And then immediately back to work on Saturday. At a returns desk. Yay.

Going to SO's grandma's place in the morning for crepes and gifts with that half of the family, then heading to my mom's where my brother and his wife will be with their new brood.

Dinner there, then we plan to all go back to our new house to enjoy the rest of the evening before they need to drive back home.

And then Boxing Day... dunno lol. Probably just chilling out and enjoying the presents.

Christmas tomorrow is very small and simple: ham sandwiches. Mom will have some fruit, I'll cook up veggies for me and anyone else that wants them. My brother will have his chips. Saturday morning my other brother wants to make pancakes for us. And that's nice and all, but I'd rather be in my spinning class at the gym! Oh well, it's family I know so I'll be there. And Sunday? Everyone will have left and I'm going into work to get overtime from having been gone this week! Oy paperwork and year end.

Nothing special; I don't even have a Chinese place to go to (since I understand that is a sacred tradition of American Jews on Christmas).
Doing the Saturday meals with one of the other guys in the community. We will probably spend 90% of the time talking about worldbuilding, unless we take a break to play Eldritch Horror.

I'm at home with my parents and I will be doing sweet eff all. Most of my family is around anyway so we're all just going to enjoy some food and play board-games, and I'll probably slink off for some alone-time to play WoW at some point as well.

Tomorrow, big breakfast, open gifts, and ritual fondue dinner, then Saturday we're going to my brother's for dinner as well.

My Christmas will be dull, because we're just doing 'the usual'. Which is mostly just hanging out, eating and exchanging presents. Maybe I can convince them to watch a film. Oh, the excitement.

Will probably spend a large chunk of the weekend playing Dragon Age: Inquisition because I finally got The Descent DLC to work for me, and now I'm on Trespasser. After I complete this, I'll start on one of my other (near completed) playthroughs. (It feels weird to finally be coming to the end of this game that I started a year ago.)

My Jewish dad's best friend, who is Buddhist, always comes over on Christmas Day. He lives in SoCal full-time since retiring (before, he split time here and Florida; worked in aerospace) so he could come over all the time if he liked, and yet we still usually only see him at Christmas and the Super Bowl. We are making baked ziti.

On Sunday I am gonna make cookies to give to my friends as their holiday gift. This year our annual Secret Santa fell through, but I'd still like them to have something. So there's cookies, yaaay!

Stay warm and safe with your storm! It's gonna rain here, and it's cold (for my warped sense of temperature).

Enjoying this wonderful warm weather here (close to 80 today), giving mom her presents, and watching the Doctor Who Christmas Special (I get River Song this year, yay!)

The rerun of the Melbourne Carols by Candlelight is just coming to an end on TV.

I've been a bit groggy because after we opened presents I had to go to bed for a while, then Mum woke me up because lunch was cooked.

Tomorrow - nothing. Boxing Day Sales are busy shit, and several movies get released on the 26th as well, but none of them interest me. Mum and I are going to see Star Wars on the 27th though.

And I am still waiting for my BG1.
