Not "white with shock".

You are desperately reaching. The passage is about being white with shock.

The passage doesn't even make sense within the context of the scene any other way. The mention of a character's race there would be beyond random.

You are the one adding the word "shock" to the scene. Therefore you are the one reaching.

To add to your points, in translated edition intro languages without a "white = fear" idiom, the translation says paled or otherwise indicates fear.

Well the author's original words are ambiguous. I totally believe that JKR imagined Hermione as white, but people are saying it's canon and that people who imagine book Hermione as black are incorrect and that just isn't supported by the text. The text says Hermione is probably, not definitely white, so therefore if you imagine her black or mixed race you're not actually wrong.
