Established fandoms can be tough, and sometimes there aren't a lot of activity on LJ comms, and other places it can be hard to connect.

I've felt that "ur not welcome here" vibe from established (slightly clique-y) older fandoms, so I understand your pain.

No advice; do what you feel is right. You could throw it on AO3 and maybe find readers, though, esp. if the pairing is popular right now. I think alot of fandoms have migrated there for fics, if not community.
