Now that I've seen other responses and reread the secret... Yeah, you will never be known again if you refuse to post your fic for general audiences.

To mirror your own words: I hope you and your clique of few old friends are very satisfied that your fic will never be known and the fandom doesn't give a shit and would likely think you a stuck up and self-righteous, as other commenters have said.

Myself? I don't care. It's no skin off my nose if you won't release the fic. I'll just go back to Baldur's Gate and my ongoing RP with an author who was quite willing to post her own magnum opus to both FFN and AO3 (that's how we met - I read her fic). But then she's not a BNF, with all the smug self-importance that term often implies.
