There was a fic in the Jak and Daxter fandom where the author basically dropped it around.... oh god, 2009 or so? Then she randomly picked it back up in 2014, almost a decade after she'd started working on it (which was in 2005).

I remember starring at my inbox for several minutes, convinced the site had bugged or something.
