TL;DR: I can’t read smut fic with skinny female characters.
I am a fat woman with an eating disorder and dysphoria. (So I am aware some of the things I say in this secret will sound irrational). And... I can't read smut fic about thin, beautiful female characters. I compare myself to them, and feel disgusting, gross, and flawed. I want to be them, but not because of the sexy content of the fic; I am just reminded how much I wish I wasn't me. None of the fandoms I'm in (other than SU, which I'm not interested in reading smut for, but dear lord, is reading some of the gen fic/looking at gen fanart in that fandom so refreshing and comforting) so most of the time I'll seek out PWP with my kinks from fandoms that have fat characters, and replace the names to my fav pairings. Or I'll seek out fat fetish fic for my fandoms.
(I was looking for a sad stock image but this one made me happy, so... ignore the fact that it doesn't really match the tone of the secret).

The only time I think of myself when I'm reading porn is, tbh, if I'm reading it on the toilet, then I find it a little awkward to be doing something so unsexy when I'm reading something supposedly sexy (I don't get turned on by fics so I don't read them for that).

For what it's worth, I'm not a guy and I just don't like rippling abs or huge muscles in general. So while I don't know what you look like, there are probably people who would think you're better looking than the muscleheads that show up in porn and fic all the time!

There's a fairly large assortment of hentai starring male characters who are overweight. (Mostly awful rape crap, true, but I've seen some cute stuff as well.) I'm not sure if there's any direct equivalent for female characters.

There is a fairly large assortment of hentai starring female characters too. In fact, a smaller but rarer subsection (which is even rarer in the m/f and m/m circles) is muscle-fication of female characters!

I'm not an expert but I think female-centric hentai has a lot more variety in terms of fetishes/kinks simply because there's a bigger market for it. But maybe the porn sites I use are biased!

Also side note but OP might not like anime style porn, I know some people don't like it.

It's funny, because i'm also fat and I actually do NOT want to read fics about women who are explicitly my body type (well, not smut - I like them just fine in stories not involving smut) because that would sort of hit too close to home, especially if the weight was somehow made into an issue during the sex scene.

I'm fine with f/m smut, though I must say I'm far more pickier about what I like to read in het than in slash, both in terms of pairings as in how the actual sex is written. I'd say I skew towards femdom in m/f pairings. It's not a necessity, but it's a decent indicator I won't be bothered by the sex.

For me, I think it's just I have a partner in RL and I would have difficulties separating fiction from reality with m/f (or f/m) smut and so don't try. It's funny though, because I love non-smutty romances of all sorts, but for porn porn porn m/m is the only way I'll go, hahahaha.

Like, let me try to explain. I'm generally at peace with my body, but I wouldn't go as far as to say I *like* it.

If I'm thinking of fat fetish porn, well, I feel like that would describe things like fat rolls, or saggy boobs, or big thighs (because that's what the like) - and while I have all that, I don't particularly like it, and don't need to be reminded of it in my escapist porn.

I'm probably best described as "thick" but i totally get what you mean OP it jerks me out of a story when over and over its referenced how thin and frail and delicate a character is, it'd be fine if it was sometimes but so often its AAAALLL the time and it gets exhausting.
i don't really write smut, but my comics have wider range of body types. maybe i'll get into smut!
