Matt Damon is famous, and no one's really heard of this Mary Koss person, so who really cares what she thinks?

Do you really expect all of your friends to work themselves into a rage over some stupid opinion you found on the internet? There are just so many dumb opinions floating around, people can't get mad about all of them.

Isn't she the "one in four" woman? A large portion of modern feminsm owes a lot to her work through the 80's and 90's if she's who I'm thinking of.

Yeah. She also invented the term "date rape." https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mary_P._Koss

That's here.

I suppose it's not as disheartening as finding out about how Germane Greer feels about ravishing young (preteen) boys.

Oh, that person. In that case, well, yeah, then it needs to be discussed.

She's incredibly wrong. Again.

Why would it need to be discussed tho? So you think she's wrong and you don't agree with her. That doesn't make her any less capable of running a study. The woman basically single handedly proved rape culture, her holding an opposing opinion to you isn't really the issue we should be focusing on I think.

Is she claiming that one in four women are not just sexually assaulted, but unwillingly penetrated in university, then?

If so, she's at least consistent.

I take rape culture seriously. Trying to backpedal on part of it and say, "But that doesn't count as rape," implies that she doesn't take it that seriously.

I think the only reason anyone was going to hear about Matt Taylor was because of the feminist outrage against him.

The guy who cried about his shitty shirt getting all the attention?
