So

(Anonymous) 2016-01-15 12:20 am (UTC)(link)
I was told today by my managers manager that the cleaners at the office I work have raised a complaint with his boss. Apparently they are disgusted by the beard hairs that gather on my desk and on the floor around me and demand that I take care if my own space before I leave each night because they are unwilling to. I don't think I shed any more than average and these people clean the shitty toilets. Is my beard hair really the line they won't cross? I mean, I think I'm kinda offended at the implication that my desk is worse than the lavs because it has my beard hairs on it.

Beard hairs don't shed that much unless there's like a medical issue or something in which case go to the fucking doctor.

As a beard-having individual I have to ask what the fuck you're doing that you are shedding that many beard hairs.

The CLEANERS are complaining about cleaning up your hair? That's a bit ridiculous, I'm sorry. Use the vacuum hose. It's not that hard.

The only thing I can think of is that maybe they look so much like pubic hair that they'd rather not be touch it or think that you leave them intentionally. Sounds strange, since all cleaners end up cleaning something nastier sooner or later.

nayrt

You should learn how to use commas.

DA

To be fair, there were the right NUMBER of commas, they were just in the wrong place.

Believe it or not, when you use a public space it is rude to make a mess. For instance, I'm in my university's library right now. Just because there are janitors doesn't mean I can pull out my hair and leave it everywhere on the desk I'm at, or litter.

Tldr if you're making an excessive mess in a public space, you have the responsibility to deal with it, not the cleaners.

Re: So

(Anonymous) 2016-01-15 01:08 am (UTC)(link)
Then what do cleaners get paid for?

Re: So

(Anonymous) 2016-01-15 01:43 am (UTC)(link)
I guess you're one of those people who plug up toilets and piss everywhere in public bathrooms because "that's what the cleaners are for!"

Re: So

nayrt but lol. you're equating natural human shedding, to deliberately peeing on the floor?

Re: So

(Anonymous) 2016-01-15 02:41 am (UTC)(link)
Natural human shedding? Uh, pretty sure excessive amounts of hair falling everywhere isn't natural.

Yes...it often is.

I have very long thick hair on my head. I do my best to not leave bunches of it everywhere, and more of it comes out in my shower than anywhere else. But I DO shed a lot naturally as does pretty much everyone else with my hair type.

(I suppose it depends on how you define "excessive" though. I'd argue that normal amounts of shedding aren't excessive.)

Re: So

uhhh I'm pretty sure a hair falling on a table or whatever is indeed the cleaners' responsibility. clearly you have never been a cleaner.

Re: So

(Anonymous) 2016-01-15 03:00 am (UTC)(link)
Clearly you've never been a cleaner, where you've had to deal with people's excessive messes they leave around on top of everything else you have to do. Being a cleaner isn't as easy as you think

Would LOL again!!!

WHY IS YOUR BEARD SHEDDING SO MUCH THAT PEOPLE ARE COMPLAINING ABOUT IT? Jesus Christ, get some vitamin E in your system or something. You might be fucking dying.

Could you just sweep it onto the floor at the end of the day with your hand? Then it'd just get vacuumed up and that only takes a couple seconds
