Complaining thread!

I can't throw away letters from my abuser because the envelopes have my favorite person in the world's handwriting on them, and sometimes the letters or cards are signed from both, and they're both dead now. This might seem small but here I am.

No I can see how distressing that is; Sorry :(

I'm sorry that you feel you have to keep the good and the bad, anon. It seems unnecessarily painful.

Can you keep the envelopes and the signatures without keeping the part written by the abuser? for example: making a decoupage plaque of the envelopes or cards or making laminated bookmarks of your favorite person's handwriting and tucking them into your favorite books?

The Barbri Torts guy. Everyone else gives us fill in the blank handouts. He doesn't. So it takes twice as long to get through the videos because he talks too fast and I keep having to pause and rewind to get everything.

Also, I just dumped half a bag of chocolate covered sea salt caramels under my bed. I was looking forward to eating them.

I started cleaning up the store while the other staff weren't doing squat. Now my boss thinks of me as the one who cleans and only schedules me when he expects that the store will need a lot of cleaning. My sales numbers would probably be a lot higher if other people cleaned sometimes while I sold, but if I were to sell, I know they would just stand there.

I'm really itchy and abraded in places I'm not going to mention by name. The abrasion only makes me itchy and scratching only abrades it more.

You may have a fungal infection, or be at risk for one. Get a giant tube or clotrimazole cream and see if that helps.

I'm currently waiting on 6 different specialists to send paperwork to me or read through what I've sent them and get back to me. It's friday and it's 4.30 so I'm guessing I won't hear from them until at least monday.

Also got denied an appointment with a specialist at the hospital because my GP wrote the world's worst referral letter. I know she was rushed, but I'm still annoyed and now I have to go back to her and ask her to take more time and do it properly. Some parts of it aren't even words, just keysmash.

I would probably be less cranky if my legs were working. I've popped both knees and both hips multiple times this week and it's really hard to keep them steady enough to walk on, even using the stability cane and the wall for balance. I can't afford custom braces right now. I just need everything to cooperate until I figure out my medical budget under the 2016 health plan.

Getting anything from a doctor or specialist can be an incredible amount of trouble. I'm always hesitant to 'bother' them too much, but that's about the only way you're going to get results. At their own discretion...you get nothing.

my GP wrote the world's worst referral letter

That's so frustrating! And I guess in this situation you couldn't just call the office, tell them the situation and see if she would fax another? (They SHOULD do that so you don't have to make another trip, but again, I know even if they okay it, it might take a week for them to get around to it unless you call them repeatedly about it.)

I hope you get it figured out! In the meantime I'm sorry, but good luck! I hope you feel better soon.

Thanks!

I could call but I have to go in soon anyway because new year, new care plan and I need to make a case for what I need this year. New wheelz is first priority.

They're getting sick of my face in there.

Ah, right. Didn't consider that. :(

My mom needs a walker and that hasn't went anywhere for over a month either. (She's borrowing one from neighbors right now.) First home health sent the paperwork to the wrong place, then when they sent the paperwork to the right place there was no response.

It's kind of disgusting how much trouble people have to go through just to get the service or supplies they need. A nurse told me she'd seen a man wait six months for a new bed.

So I definitely hope you get your wheelchair much faster then that!

I refuse to believe that, though I could believe you are getting sick of their faces. Doctors aren't exactly fun.

Yeah, it's likely going end up being at least six months because I've already been on the waiting list for the OT for a few and it takes at least six weeks from order time for them to put together a custom chair. I still don't even have an appointment to get fitted and I'm on the urgent list. Imagine if you're not on the urgent list.

I hope your mum's (mom's? I can't american) new walker gets sorted out soon! I was able to get my cane in 10 minutes because I live near a home care warehouse and I just went in with cash.

My GP is nice enough, but she constantly has the face of someone who has said yes to too many things. She has students from the uni who come to observe and they're popping in and out and asking dumbass questions all the time.

Six months is an absurd amount of time to wait for a chair. Geez. You should be able to start the process a year in advance so you'd at least get the equipment on time. :(

Mum or mom, both work, lol. And yes, we should just go buy her one, it would be easier. I've thought about it, but since she's already borrowed a walker she doesn't want us to pay for it when the insurance owes her one. If it takes much longer we'll do it anyway.

She has students from the uni who come to observe and they're popping in and out and asking dumbass questions all the time.

See, I don't like that kind of thing. I know that students need experience and I'm sure it helps a lot, but if I'm seeing a doctor I at least like the illusion of privacy, and I want to get in and out. Maybe I'm just impatient and paranoid.

I don't mind med students if they're learning how to not be fuck ups later when they will be responsible for their own patients, who may also be me. They are not allowed near me with needles anymore though. Yikes.

Whenever I type 'mom' I say it in a really exaggerated accent in my head. MAAWWM.

I hope she gets her walker soon. Insurance is probably delaying in the hope that she will just get fed up and go buy one herself.

I feel like in this amount of time we could have designed and built our own mobility aids.

Two kids having a posturing competition on the bus and I want them to shut up. I'd put ear phones on but being careful incase need to break shit up.

Ones like 5 and the other 7.

Rolling eyes.
