Re: Lando Vs Han

(Anonymous) 2016-01-15 04:31 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm not really into this "pitting people/characters/other against each other when it's not necessary" thing. That said, I do remain confused about Lando not being a more popular character than he is. I remember he originally left a much bigger impact on me as a "loveable rogue" type character than Han did. Or felt more memorable, or something.

Also I continue to be surprised that I've never run into anyone shipping Han and Lando with each other. It *seems* like the kinds of characters in the kind of a dynamic that lots of people would ship - honestly, if I didn't know anything about how Star Wars is perceived in culture, but someone told me it's hugely popular, then if I watched the original trilogy, I'd probably assume this to be one of the fandom juggernaut ships. I mean, I'm sure that some people ship it, but. (This isn't a plea for people to start shipping Hando. I'm just surprised, is all. Maybe most people development shipping goggles a few years AFTER watching Star Wars, or something.)
