Some people just should take into account their costume and weight before playing though, look at that time Chris Christie cosplayed a baseball player. We did not need to see that, and he should have chosen a better costume for his shape. He is worse than that super large black costume Spider-Man.

Male or female, fat or thin, any costume where everyone can see you juggle your junk like Christie did is a bad thing. A bad, bad, eye scarring, thing.

Agreed. Anyone of any size can cosplay, but it's important to consider whether or not a particular costume is going to look good on your body type. One of my friends is a size 20 and she does amazing, beautiful costumes that she's won tons of awards for, but she always picks things that will flatter her figure - nothing skintight or super-revealing. And she's cosplayed from a ton of popular series (Drrr!, Code Geass, Sailor Moon, Zelda, to name just a few) so it's not as if there's any shortage of costumes that look good on people who are plus-sized.
