Well if you want them to listen to you, that's a pretty bad idea. Of course they're not going to take advice from someone who comes by to lecture them on how awful their story is. They're going to listen to you if you tell them what can be done o make their story better without making them feel like shit. Because most people don't like to listen to people who just try to make us feel bad.

I mean of course you're 'allowed' to. You just won't get the reaction you want and people listening will point out when you're being a dick about it. You won't get arrested for it or anything. So you're allowed. You're just not owed the response you want to hear. Consequences of your speech are still a thing, like gravity.
