Considering the awful marriages that I am witness to, I think there's a lot of truth to this. Obviously this is going to make a lot of people feel butthurt, but there's a whole lot of people who are married or in a relationship because they're scared to be alone and not because they've truly found somebody decent.

Haha, sometimes. And sometimes it's the good guys at the top and girls who can't bother to climb all the way up. So who cares if the artist wants to be cutesy? I see a fundamental truth that most people settle.

idk I think you missed the point, the "rotten apples" are "easy" (that is, slutty) and the apples on top are the good, pure virginal girls

Oh yeah, I remember that. It was a thing for a while. Weird. I wonder if the apples eventually rotted, or if they're all still shellacked up and preserved for eternity?
