Oh dear, yes, lots of cringe there. I try not to be too hard on people like this, though... a lot of young women (and older women, for that matter) deal with some unhappy shit in their lives and low self esteem. This is their way of blowing a little smoke up their own butt. I hope that eventually, they'll find healthier, more productive ways to prop themselves up that doesn't involve tearing down other women to do so.

Ahhhhhh, yeah, I've seen that before. My favorite part is the not-so-subtle insults towards the "rotten apple" girls who are "easy". That's nice.

That said, though, like noted elsewhere, most people who post that are very young, so I don't really hold it against them much. Anyone who's been on the internet as a teenager posted something stupid at some point, so...

Considering the awful marriages that I am witness to, I think there's a lot of truth to this. Obviously this is going to make a lot of people feel butthurt, but there's a whole lot of people who are married or in a relationship because they're scared to be alone and not because they've truly found somebody decent.

It's the kind of thing you need to hear sometimes when you're young, and don;t necessarily think about the further implications of. Like, you have value even though no one has told you so by wanting to date you yet. It's actually a good idea just expressed in a kind of gross way.

That honestly just makes me thing she's...well, quite young. Maybe she writes like someone who is older, that would certainly make an odd discrepancy.

The thing with fanfic authors...it's weird. There's less distance than with published authors, you can just say hi online, but that has the down side of seeing how human they really are.

Honestly I'd much rather be with someone who's easy to love. I've been with difficult drama filled people, men and women, who made me work for everything and you know what? I'd rather be with the person I am now who's kind and gentle and talks things out and respects me and makes our relationship fun, not work.

Other people can deal with drama and fights and blow ups that come with people who make you earn their affection.
