A part of me feels like casting a sexy lady is kinda counter to the orgional point. It was supposed to be shocking and an in-your-face queer positive statment to have this big muscular mans-man looking guy strutting around in fishnets and heels. Have a sexy girl doing it just feels like creepy fanservice. I mean, I appreciate having a PoC in a lead role, but I would have much preferred Terry Crews in that role.

Yeah, I also think it's creepy fanservice as well to cast a woman. If it was Terry Crews, I'd watch it for the lulz.

Never happen. Terry Crews stikes me at the homophobic alpha male type.

You think Terry fucking Crews is homophobic? The guy who stars in Brooklyn 99? He's an equal rights activist:

Did you forget your meds today?

Exactly why it feels off to me.

Yeah, it's missing the point. Glee did the same thing in their Rocky Horror episode, had a girl as the lead because the parents of the boy who was originally gonna do it got upset or whatever. I mean, I don't know if they cast a woman because a manly guy in drag is too controversial or something, but it definitely seems weird to me.

Oh my goodness, that is something I never knew I wanted until now. Not even a RHPS fan, but Crews would be really campy fun.
