Wasn't it covered up that a bunch of immigrants raped or molested girls at a Swedish (maybe German?) music festival? Not the rape part, but that is was immigrants doing it.

According to that, they covered it up because it would be damaging for the political party in power, not because they were afraid of being called racists.

I would also point out that being concerned about sparking racial violence is not at all the same as being afraid of being called racist. It's like categorically different.

I think this is a bad situation, I think that probably the police and state authorities in these places are completely unequipped to deal with the problem, and i think the way of communicating and talking about it has been very bad. but the idea seems to go around that the solution here is to end political correctness and let people be assholes to immigrants and the problem will go away and i just don't think that's true.

to quote from the Rotheram wikipedia page: Casey's investigation found that the child sexual exploitation (CSE) team was poorly directed, suffered from excessive case loads, and did not share information.

As a Swedish person (and not the anon!) I don't have any sources, but I'm 95 % sure it was out of fear of seeming racist.

that doesn't show that it was the cause, it only shows that it happened. it's not like they devoted a ton of resources to investigating the problem but were stymied because they just refused to identify the race of the criminals. that was a problem but it was secondary to the lack of funding and resources.

Are you serious? They obviously had enough resources to fucking investigate. And just like in Sweden and Germany, they are so afraid of being called racist they just drop the investigation.

According to the Wikipedia page, the investigative reports found that the team was hugely underfunded and incompetent. Do you have any evidence that supercedes that?

Wikipedia on it's own is a terrible source to anything. Link the reference at least.

Sweden has a long tradition of declaring anyone who dares to say anything negative about the immigrants or the immigration policy as a racist and lynching them in public. Now is the first time in years that people dare to speak up.
