Mr. or Miss first name? I've honestly never heard any kid do that before. We always were supposed to be respectful. It was Mr., Mrs., or Ms. last name. Even if they said we could use first names. I wasn't even comfortable calling adults by their first name as an adult for a while.

Miss Firstname is a regional culture thing.

I've read it in *so* many fics! "Mr. Stiles, this is my daddy!" "Miss Olivia, I made you a picture!" It's just weird. To this *day*, i have to force myself to call my parent's hospital co-worker friends by their first names. Mr. or Mrs. is *so* much more ingrained.

Where I live, Mr./Miss First name is what very polite/strict parents make their kids call other adults and make their kids' friends call them. I learned that the hard way when I was little and addressed a friend's mom for the first time, and she screamed at me for leaving out the "Miss."

(Mr./Mrs./Ms. Last Name pretty much isn't expected here for anyone except teachers.)

Interesting. We would have been yelled at for using first names for adults even with a title first. I didn't even know the first names of most of my parents friends.
