(So we're clear, this comment is more in response to the screencapped tumblr post than it is to the secret.)

I've mostly seen "doesn't read" in the context of "missed the point."

I have a friend who is an incredibly smart person. However, she likes arguing on facebook more than she likes reading, and has attacked me for "saying" things I never actually said. So in that sense? She doesn't read.

There's also a difference between a learning disability or otherwise struggling to read and being willfully uninformed. You don't even have to like to read fiction; but it saddens me when people won't even read a newspaper article.
