Plot consistency is great and all, but it's very low on the checklist of "things that are needed in order to like a space adventure movie."

Like, sure, it would be great to have a space adventure movie without plotholes, but no one really cares that much about them. It's like having a pizza whose crust tastes good and can be eaten easily and doesn't need to be left in the box. It's great and impressive when you get one like that, definitely a plus, but if you don't get one like that, no1curr because it's not important to the pizza's enjoyability at all.

Okay, crust is VERY important to good pizza. It's the second most important thing after the sauce. Let's be real.

If you read the context they're obviously talking about crust as in the outside edge with no toppings, not the dough that forms the bottom of the pizza. Hence why 'stuffed crust' pizza does not have a layer of cheese under it and then more bread, but instead has filling in the outer edge e.g. the crust.

It's the same crust either way! If the bottom crust is good, so's the outside edge. Stuffed crust pizza is nonsense and I choose to ignore it. Crust matters.

You have obviously never had bad pizza crust. The crust is a hell of a lot more important than you think. Why the duck do you think dominoes had that huge campaign to change their crust?

Er...I'd be really disappointed in a pizza that didn't have a crust I could eat.

I mean I love TFA, I just don't think this is a good analogy.

Again talking about the outer-crust which is often discarded cause it is not tasty, and is often hard and brittle and gross.

There are so many good pizzas out there with good outer crust that if a pizza doesn't have an edible outer crust it's not a pizza I'm interested in buying. Also, as another commenter pointed out, a pizza's outer crust isn't actually different from its under-crust, just thicker and without toppings, so it is in fact related to the quality of the entire pizza, and if a pizza has a good under-crust it's probably going to have a good outer crust too (unless it's Donato's which doesn't really have an outer crust at all, but makes up for it by having toppings on the whole thing so it's still delicious).

It's the same bread, but the outer-crust usually gets burnt, and I guess the sauce keeps the bottom crust from hardening out???

I dunno outer crust is just usually not great (at least from the budget pizzas I often get).

I guess it depends on what you mean by "budget pizza" and where you get your pizza from.

My personal favorite for crust is Papa John's. It's fast food pizza but I'm not sure if it qualifies as "budget".

+1000 and I'm loving your analogy. :)

Pizza with bad crust is bad pizza. This analogy doesn't support what you think it does.
