Re: buying new things is hard

A new bed.

I don't want to use a box spring, but I don't want built-in underbed storage either (I want room to put things under there, but I find drawers too obtrusive) and furniture stores around here mostly offer beds that either need a box spring or have drawers. I want a headboard but not a foot board, and I'd like a real bed frame, not just a metal stand (don't think those work without a box spring, anyway) with a headboard bolted to it. I'd also like something mid-range, but it seems like everything is either cheap but really cheap looking, or costs over $2000, and that's before I buy a mattress for it. I'll probably buy something online, but it's a large, important piece of furniture and I'd like to see what I'm getting first before it shows up in pieces at my door.
