Oooooohhhh boy.

Srappy Doo was my favorite as a kid because I loved kid characters, but now my little cousin LOVES Scooby-Doo and I have realized the error of my ways.

My mother and I hated Lori, we used to call her 'Where's your fucking kid, Lori?' as if it was her full name, because it seemed like she spent a lot of time complaining about how Carl needed to be protected and then not actually watching him. We liked Glenn, though.

I hated Gwen on Torchwood and was mostly indifferent to Tosh. I also hate every single Doctor Who companion on first watch, without fail, only to rewatch later and realize I actually like them I was just busy being bitter that they weren't the preceeding companion. Except Martha, who I just never clicked with.

I just dislike Glenn right now because he has plot armor and keeps surviving through things he should not. :|

And yeah, Lori keep an eye on your damn kid and stop being mean to people because they are not washing clothes!

I hated most Doctor Who companions except Donna. <3 Donna.

Donna was the best. I wish she'd gotten more (and a better final episode that wasn't all about Rose returning and then Donna getting a horrible ending that shouldn't have been foisted on anyone).

I know, I have so many feelings about how terrible her ending was. It was so senseless and I hate that she doesn't know how truly amazing she is.

I stopped watching around season 4 so I don't know enough about it.

Lori was a self-centered bitch and the show did not seem to be aware of it. And back in the day people insisted if you said that you were judging her for sleeping with Shane and there was no other reason to hate her. Which is great because I 100% support someone who's traumatized by the apocalypse and her dead husband finding solace in a friend, I just fucking hate Lori.

I loved Donna so much! Amy rubbed me the wrong way for the longest time until I decided I loved her anyway, and I just never enjoyed Clara, though to be fair I stopped watching because 12 was kind of a jerk. Ironically, the ONLY companion my mother didn't like was Donna, she thought she was obnoxious. But she still hated her ending.

Donna's ending was so fucking sad. She deserved more!

She did! I mean, it did what was meant to which was make everyone sad. But Donna deserved so much more, all she wanted was to be important, and she never got to know she was.

Donna is one of my favorites next to Amy.

She is my favorite of all time and her ending was so depressing.

Oh, ugh, Gwen. Yeah, I did not like her. I think I could have liked her, but the way she was written was infuriating. It was always all about her. Also, she's one of those characters where we're told she's awesome, but we don't actually get to see it (much). I hate that. Then there's her cheating with Owen, while mooning over Jack, while being engaged to Rhys. I can't believe she's the only one except Jack to make it out alive.

I was capable of feeling sympathy for Gwen at first, because she joined Torchwood and nobody bothered to train her and then got mad when she screwed up. But then the show started acting like she was this wonderful 'heart of the team' person without ever doing anything to show it. And what she did to Rhys was messed up.

I'm still mad about Ianto. Still. So. Mad. Even if I hated the character that was damn sloppy writing.

I didn't like most of the Torchwood lot but Gwen and Owen were the two I really hated.

See, I liked Owen, because Owen was an asshole but nobody ever acted like he wasn't.

Tosh was my favorite character (though she had some questionable story lines), but I couldn't stand Gwen. She drove me nuts and I really hated her trying to justify lying to Rhys, plus the mind-altering thing she did to him. Other than Gwen, I actually liked all the other characters in Torchwood (minus the bad guys).

I liked Tosh well enough, but I never attached to her like everyone else seemed to. Though, I was sixteen at the time and recently out as bisexual, so I was mostly obsessing over the Janto storyline and the fact that everyone on the show was equal-opportunity. The actual characters came second for a long time. Except Gwen, who came about three millionth because I have always hated her.

I hated Fred on Scooby because he had no personality and was always ordering the other characters around. Scrappy only mildly annoyed me.

You're right, Fred isn't much better. The best part of the godawful live action movies was that they acknowledged all the awful/silly aspects of the original, like that Fred was a moron.
