But how do you feel about the soundtrack?

The best parts of the soundtrack were the themes from LOTR. I also liked the songs and the Sons of Durin theme in BOTFA. But for the most part the soundtracks were just okay. LOTR was vastly superior.

Misty Mountains and the pop songs for each movie are the only ones that stick out. I can listen to the LOTR soundtracks over and over. I can pick out a bunch of songs for different moods. The Hobbit soundtracks are all kind of samey. None of the themes really set themselves apart (except for Misty Mountains, which they dropped after the first movie). I keep trying to listen to the Hobbit soundtracks but they're really rather meh. They quickly fade into the background and feel as uninspired as the films.

Wasn't it like... the exact same soundtrack as LOTR?

The only different tracks that I remember and liked was the dwarf theme (only remember it in the firm movie tbh), and Misty Mountains. The other ending songs don't even stand out.

The Misty Mountains song was fantastic, but the rest of it isn't very memorable, IMO. Not as memorable as the LOTR soundtrack, anyway.
