Re: Rant/vent thread
(Anonymous) 2016-02-18 03:10 am (UTC)(link)My rant's about Panera. I mean, the tip jar in the drive-though? When the fuck did that start? Does that seem tacky to anyone or is it just me? It's weird because I don't mind giving a tip if I do take-out, or dine in an actual restaurant, but something about the drive-though window annoys me. Especially their stupid "OH WE TOTALLY DON'T EXPECT A TIP BUT WE WELCOME IT BUT REALLY DON'T FEEL PRESSURED OR ANYTHING TO GIVE ONE IT'S NOT LIKE WE PUT THIS TIP JAR OUT HERE FOR MONEY COLLECTING OR ANYTHING" message written right on the tip jar. I mean, what the hell? Do they not pay their employees enough anymore?
I dunno, I just feel like maybe it annoys me way more than it should.
Re: Rant/vent thread
Did they ever?
They've been on the end of a successful class-action lawsuit for stealing wages from their employees. AFAIK their wages aren't competitive against others in the fast-food industry. You could do better working at McDonalds.
They need to get rid of their shitty ass tip jar and start paying their employees a decent wage--and quit stealing from them.
