I'm PMSing and had a shitty day at work and I'm sitting here eating M&Ms even though I really want cookies or something homemade but I'm too lazy to bake something and I don't need it anyway since I'm trying to lose weight and of course M&Ms don't help that any either.

I'm tired of all the stuff I do at work "not counting" as exercise and being repeatedly harassed that I'm going to get obese for eating like a person who actually expends energy every damn day.

I graduated from Sorta-Okay College last year, and moved on to Literal-Shithole College, because during my time at SOC, I discovered what I wanted to do with my life, and LSC was the only institution in the state that offered the program I was interested in.

I am halfway through my first term at LSC, and I have contemplated dropping out on a weekly basis, because everything is jumping through hoops and negotiating conflicting information from different people (and sometimes conflicting information from the same freaking person) and stumbling blocks and roadblocks, and being misled and directly lied to about various details, and I have years more of this to look forward to. But I really want to continue this course and get the degree that will give me a better chance and working in my field of study.

Today, SOC left me a voicemail, asking if I could call them back and rate my experiences at SOC vs. LSC.

I laughed for 10 minutes straight.

And I really want to call them up like an old lover and tell them how good they were to me, and I'm sorry for every bad thing I ever said, but I can't risk doing that because I'm afraid LSC will somehow find out I'm not 100% completely satisfied with their lack of service, and it'll come back to bite me in the ass.

LSC will not find out. It really won't. And even if it does, it can't and won't deny you your degree.

-am doing that thing that I (and hopefully other people) sometimes do where you see someone asking for advice in a situation somewhat similar to one you were in a long time ago and feel this very urgent need to be like DO THIS NOT THAT even tho you don't really know the intricacies? and now I'm all stressed out about like? if this advice will be taken???

I asked my roommate for help some very minor help with an essay I'm struggling with (we're in the class together) and she responded by being condescending and snapping at me for not being done yet. I'm not done cause its hard for me? Just cause its easy for her...

I wonder if she's projecting, if she hasn't finished and she's taking out her stress on you.

It wouldn't make her right, as she shouldn't respond that way to you. But it would explain her reaction.

Stupid jaw is still hurting. And I can't really afford to go to a dentist (I don't have dental insurance). Trying to relax enough so that I won't clench at night but it isn't working.

Putting aside everything else, I woke up with a pimple on the side of my nose and I can see it out of the corner of my eye and it's driving me mad.

We got it all sorted and everything worked out fine, but I had a minor argument with my sister about train schedules and some miscommunication about our plans that I am still frustrated about. I wish she read my emails more closely, and replied to things promptly, because I was almost stuck for 1.5 hours at a train station in the middle of nowhere, outdoors pretty early in the morning. And this is NOT the first time she's done this.

I got sleep paralysis with full blown hallucinations the other night and it's really fucking with my ability to go to sleep atm because I'm scared it's going to happen again and I don't want it.

I'm sorry you're dealing with that.

Do you think trying to sleep with an audiobook or some soft music on would make you more aware of where you are during that? That's my go-to for half asleep panic attacks.

I'm really, really, really hoping my cycle is a 28 day one this month (instead of 30 days which it has been for a couple of months now) so I won't have my heaviest, crampiest day while spending 8+ hours on a plane...

Having a baby is fucking hard and it's difficult to talk about because you're supposed to be happy all of the time and feel this supreme unconditional love. And giving birth is supposed to be painful but not traumatic, because if it's traumatic, then that takes away from the joy of having Teh Babby, and no one wants to hear about why you don't want a second kid, they just want to tell you how much you're totally going to want one in a year or two.

I had an adherent placenta and came close to bleeding to death. I loved my son from the get-go, but not more than I'd ever loved another; I love my husband enough that the bar was set pretty high. I could never be a stay-at-home mom because it would drive me crazy. And the newborn phase made me miserable.

No one talks about what it's really like. There's this shroud of secrecy that you aren't allowed to penetrate until you've had a kid of your own. And it's bullshit. And it makes me angry. And it makes me want to tell the truth to every woman who wants a kid or who is pregnant, because it would have been so much easier if I'd had a better idea of what to expect.

So, being unemployed sucks.

Getting no calls for interviews sucks even more.

But getting calls for interviews sucks too :/ Because now I have to worry about getting multiple offers and trying to figure out which ones could have toxic workplaces or make my life a living hell, knowing that if I pick wrong I'll be in for a world of suffering...and that I'll also have missed out on the possibly good opportunities I passed up for the job I take.

And having to keep putting in job apps all the while in case any of them flake out on me or are so blatantly terrible it's obvious within a few days of working there.

Everything about job searching sucks, pretty much.

If it makes you feel better, I binged the fuck out of some M&Ms today myself, when I know I didn't need them.

My rant's about Panera. I mean, the tip jar in the drive-though? When the fuck did that start? Does that seem tacky to anyone or is it just me? It's weird because I don't mind giving a tip if I do take-out, or dine in an actual restaurant, but something about the drive-though window annoys me. Especially their stupid "OH WE TOTALLY DON'T EXPECT A TIP BUT WE WELCOME IT BUT REALLY DON'T FEEL PRESSURED OR ANYTHING TO GIVE ONE IT'S NOT LIKE WE PUT THIS TIP JAR OUT HERE FOR MONEY COLLECTING OR ANYTHING" message written right on the tip jar. I mean, what the hell? Do they not pay their employees enough anymore?

I dunno, I just feel like maybe it annoys me way more than it should.

I was in a lift with a coworker then another coworker and her coworker stepped in so coworker 2 introduced her coworker to me and I just ended up staying silent because I couldn't remember coworker 1's name and hastily changed the topic but I'm so embarrassed and worried I offended coworker. I'm pretty sure her name is Kate towards end of lift but not 100% sure.
