Statistically speaking, some of them must have some kind of mental illness. However, I tend to give them benefit of the doubt or not based on how they describe themselves. If it matches the actual medical community's description of a mental illness and/or they mention an actual diagnosis/medication which they have been prescribed, I will give them more benefit of doubt than someone whose description sounds like someone whose entire knowledge of mental illness comes from tumblr itself, or who outright states that they are self-diagnosed.
