*amused* How would you even assume you'd be able to tell?

I suppose if the author had it on their 'about me' page on fanfiction net or Tumblr or whatever

My question, what happens when you read most of an authors fics just for them to come out as asexual later? Do you just cut yourself off cold turkey, never mention them and deny ever reading them in the first place? Or are they a special case?

I'm satisfied that for all we know this OP has read and enjoyed several sex scenes written by asexual authors.

Eh, asexuals in fandom are like vegans on the internet, they tell you. Repeatedly and with a very annoying smug superiority that they are, in fact, "ace" and much better than you foe not liking the icky squishy sexual things.

What a fascinating generalization. *amused*

I'm presuming/hoping you are being sarcastic here - I'm a 59 year old woman who has never told a soul (This is the first time I have ever said anything anywhere!) In the real world Asexuality is not fully accepted - I'm pleased that times are changing, but until the time when it is fully accepted and understood I shall remain quiet.

Lol most aces are so far in the closet we've set up our homes with the Ice Queen in Narnia. I know of many fellow aces but their sexuality is only discussed on my platforms, not theirs.
