This Hellblazer fan enjoyed the hell out of it. Was it a perfectly faithful adaptation? Absolutely not. Was it a decent (and more importantly, fun) one? Damn straight.

Same here. Loved the comic back in the day, loved the show and miss it.

It was faithful enough, IMO.

The only complaint I could make that wasn't pure nitpick or wishful thinking is Chaz...and...I actually liked that, so I wouldn't complain.

(Well...I do have ONE substantive complaint...that was an assholish way to end the season when they knew renewal was unlikely.)

Oh, I actually really liked Constantine! Of course, I didn't know much about the character or Hellblazer going in, but still. It was a lot of fun! The guy who played him is a fantastic actor, too.

His name's Matt Ryan! He's also done voice work for games like Assassin's Creed: Black Flag (as Edward Kenway), and he was in Criminal Minds: Suspect Behaviour (as Mick Rawson). :)

I didn't know anything about the character either, except from his brief appearance in the Sandman comics, but I really liked the show. And Matt Ryan was awesome! Just my type of character. *g*

I loved this show! It was one of the few I watched every week, and I was heartbroken it was canceled. :(

Same here. It was one of those "must watch" shows for me. I had a feeling it would be canceled (shows I love tend to have that happen to them), but I loved it while it lasted.

Me, too. The fans on Twitter tried to rally, but apparently it wasn't enough. Super disappointing.

There's rumour that the show is going to get another 13 episodes because of Constantine's crossover with Arrow, but I have no idea if it's actually going to happen, or if it's just wishful thinking.

I enjoyed this show, despite not really knowing the canon beforehand. (Maybe because I didn't really know the canon beforehand?) It wasn't my favorite, but I would have kept watching if it hadn't been canceled.

I knew ALL of the canon before going in, and I loved it. Canon made me want brain bleach, honestly (don't get me wrong, I loved the canon, too, but it was nice to not want brain bleach).

I've only seen the first episode. They took it off itunes before I bought the rest. Makes me sad, I wanted to watch.

I really liked that show and I'm still bitter about it being cancelled.

Read the comics, LOVED the show.

And I loved that Constantine was actually British. *glares at Keanu*

At least this adaptation was better than the shitty Keanu Reeves movie.

Hellblazer fan here and while I can't say I enjoyed the show that much (it was way too dumbed down and a waste of Harold Perrineau), Matt Ryan was fucking great as John Constantine.

I just couldn't get past the way the showrunners not only didn't make him bisexual but dismissed such suggestions in a really rude way. It wasn't that it wasn't a faithful adaption, but that the way they refused to do it came across as really homophobic to me.

the constantine flashback on arrow was the most interesting flashback this season.

Fingers crossed that since the show Lucifer is currently a thing and Constantine technically exists in the same universe, he can show up there too. I'd love to see him snark with the Prince of Darkness himself (and plus, Matt Ryan adores playing the character, he's a great Constantine and I wish he gets all the opportunities to play him in the future)

I am a Hellblazer fan and I loved the show so much! It still makes me sad that they never give it a real chance. It was such fun to watch!

I miss him too! I'd say I want him to come back to Arrow as a recurring character but Arrow is fucking horrible. Maybe if they could get him to crossover to The Flash?
